As a weak anion exchanger, PSA has 2 amine groups that offer higher ionic capacity than NH2. PSA also is a very good bidentage ligand, excellent for chealation with a number of metal ions. As a polar sorbent, the PSA sorbent can hydrogen bond with any molecule containing an -OH, -NH or –SH functional group when conditioned with a non-polar solvent such as hexane |
